　　Sodium pyrosulfite is one kind of white or yellow crystalline powder or small crystal, has strong SO2 smell. After sodium pyrosulfite dissolving in water based on the proportion of 1:4, the liquor is acid. In case of sodium pyrosulfite touching with strong acid, SO2 will be emitted and corresponding salt will be generated. In case of sodium pyrosulfite being placed in the air for a long time, it will be oxidized to Na2S2O4, thus the product cannot be stored for a long time. SO2 will be decomposed when the temperature is higher than 1500C.
